They’re young. Super young and let this new position go to their head.

They left early every day this week and left half finished or completely unfinished tasks that fall on the night shift and crew to handle. Sometimes it happens but every day is not okay.

We called them to ask for help covering a call out so we could hand out the 4 lunches we needed to. They offered to come in. Then calls back and says actually {our Manager} said it’s cheaper for us to meal violate than for them to come in for the 2 hours we need.

We end up having to 2 man the floor for 15 minutes at a time while we stagger lunches.

We call back and say it’s not working we need help. They says we can close the cafe but don’t tell anyone. And tells the shift they doesn’t trust that I won’t tell everyone she said that. Rude.

I literally can’t with them.

Found out today our manager never told them to have us violate. They should have found coverage or come in.
