Remodel gone wrong (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MrsOceanGrown
Recently had a renovation on our espresso bar and got a bigger hand off plane (which is connected to same counter plane of cafe bar). They had to redo the counter space for the espresso machines and re arranged the small ice bin in the middle of the machines. Not only is that awkward, but they only gave us ONE BAR SINK. Only drive thru mastrena has a sink with a rinser. The cafe mastrena just has a counter and you have to walk to cold bar sink to rinse pitchers and shakers.
We’ve worked like this for 3-4 days and it’s going to be longer to get the facilities manager (who was in charge of this Reno) to “redesign” the floor plan to give us a sink. It’s been absolute disaster. We’ve had to turn mobiles off because cafe bar person has 3 channels of work on a bar that doesn’t have a rinse sink.

I’m really starting to lose faith in the brains of this company.

I'm on the same page. Whoever is facilitating in the design of the building is doing a piss poor job.

It's embarassing. I've seen too many parking lot car accidents to believe in a well-functioning Starbucks.
