Make sure to bring this shit to your state labor board if it applies to you. Starbucks will do anything to get out of paying you or to hold onto that money as long as possible. In my experience it's the only reliable way to get paid what you're owed when employers pull this shit.

You know what really makes me mad? THIS. And a number of other things. But one of those things is how sbux wants to cut labor during this time of year, or anytime at all. My store is always busy. So what they just can’t “afford” labor? No they are greedy. AND why are our thermostats set at 95 in the middle of summer?! So many more things man. It’s ridiculous. Sbux is worth more than a billion dollars. And they can’t pay their people who bust their asses to make all of the people at the top stay rich? Idk anymore man. I’ve seen some shady bs going on lately.

The store in Anderson, SC. Only unionized store in SC, I believe. Or at least the first. There was an issue with a viral tiktok regarding a store manager that was their proxy on their first day.

SM's do payroll yes, but we don't issue the checks. We submit it, then the company runs it and calculates the checks and everything.

These are partners on suspension during an investigation who were told they would be receiving pto. The SM is responsible for submitting these partners' hours and failed to do so, resulting in a zero hour check.

99% sure this is what happened. They should be scrambling to fix it though, I guess being SC they have no motivation to move any faster than they want to. Here in NJ the labor board would be all over them and there would be a DM pushing checks out tonight.
