Plenty of legitimate reasons. Extra whip, extra ice, need room to add more ingredients at home, or to reduce the risk of spills while driving

Yea my store is super popular amongst commuters. So doing a size up in cup is pretty typical. So they don’t spill their drink while driving to work.

Oh I didn't think of the driving thing, I live in a big city and at my location most people are walking. Those are all good points though. I am relatively new and so far I've only seen people use it as a way to try to get more bang for their buck.

This. As long as you aren't creating extra work or headache for me, go ahead and squeeze every penny you can out of the company

I use it to order extra ice

If you order just espresso, it won’t be assigned a cup size automatically and they have to manually say it
