Advice: 258 SSV putting in my two weeks tomorrow (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by pyroroc
I’m very anxious about tomorrow with handing in my two week notice. I’ve been with Starbucks for 4 years and I recently transferred to a new store about a month ago due to having to move for Graduate School. I’ve absolutely hated this store since I’ve transferred with standards not kept up to date, constantly over scheduled (despite me being a full time Grad student), partners not trained properly, no communication between SSV and my SM and just backlash from baristas with me trying to coach them.

I’m just very nervous about taking this step but I know it’s the best decision for myself with my mental health and with starting an internship in my field of study very soon. I’m just scared to lose this sense of normal(?) since I’ve been with the siren for so long. Another reason I’m nervous about this step is one SSV just transferred this week and another SSV put in her two weeks a few days ago… and I’ve already talked to her about it and he’s been trying to convince her to stay..

In short: I’m nervous about putting in my two weeks after being with the siren for 4 years and I just transferred to a new store about a month ago. Plus one SSV just transferred and another just put in her two weeks leaving us currently with 4 SSV including me.

Do what’s best for you! I’m sorry that you are feeling this way when you’ve put so much time into the Bux. I hope that you can take comfort in knowing because he did everything right, that if you need to, you can go back to the Bux. Stay strong!
