Transferring for a month isn’t worth it. You can ask to be a borrowed partner there (possibly) but it could be likely you don’t get as many as hours that way.

Yeah it’s not that simple tbh. You would have to hope the other store will be willing to accommodate you because why would they invest hours in to a partner who will only be there a month vs someone they can grow within their store ?

Take a LOA. You can not pick up shifts if it in not in the same area. This is also between the 2 DM’s

Technically there are no limited time transfers. Students may transfer when they are out of town/state for college (that’s unofficial). You are better off like others have said making an arrangements with both SM to be a borrowed partner or take a LOA.

I've transferred for a month but technically you're supposed to get prior approval a few months in advance and you can't really do that to transfer back to the original store. my manager has let me do thos before though.

I transferred home for a month to my home store for the holidays because I was out of college. Dec 8 to Jan 14.

Your new SM just needs to be willing to take you for the short time. They shouldn’t have an issue with it- I believe you can’t be a borrowed partner because you need to be within the same district to be borrowed.

One month is not as short of a time as a lot of people think. All of my transfers have gone thru within less than a week. If you request to start soon after the move, it will be fine. I’m also prety sure you can’t pick up shifts at another store outside of your district because you aren’t in the system there.
