Being trained tips (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by satansguitarweeping
Hey y’all, I’m starting my training for Starbucks this Wednesday. Any helpful tips for making my trainers job not so difficult?
I trained a couple people at my last job, i definitely did not mind, but I know most people do.
I just don’t want to make this persons job harder, so some helpful tips would be appreciated:)

You’re very nice for thinking of that, but I don’t think you have anything to worry about! Being a trainer at Starbucks is typically something a barista asks to do, or the manager will ask a barista to do it if they think they’d be good at it. The trainer is paid a bonus per person. In my experience most trainers enjoy training, at least compared to other parts of the job.

I’ve been a trainer for years and *literally* one hundred percent of the things that made my job harder were my either manager’s fault or just happenstance. All you have to do is show up, bring a good work ethic, and be ready to memorize stuff. Good luck!

Get ready for some nasty customers
Like seriously me and some of my fellow coworkers will get yelled at because were going to slow by our customers during peak, don’t take what any customer says personally they just want there drink make it apologize and go on with your day.

Yeah customer service isn’t fun. I appreciate your warning, I’m just going to try my best to remind myself to not take it personally. Thank youuuu :)
