Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Am I getting let go/"quiet fired"? I've heard this is a tactic SMs use to make their baristas leave but I'm quite literally irreplaceable at the moment. Is it possible I'm being pushed out? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Do you think your SM is out to get you? Did you just get a new SM?
Sometimes when a SM wants to push out a partner they don’t like, they’ll slowly taper your schedule until you have no hours like in your post.
This is called “constructive dismissal” and the SM essentially wants you to quit from a lack of hours instead of firing you.
I’d talk to your SM and if the issue persists, talk to them about transferring or take it to your DM. Don’t quit. Let them fire you if they really want to.
You may be eligible for Unemployment benefits just for the decrease in hours alone. However if you quit, being eligible for unemployment makes it a lot harder.

Hmmm kinda hard to tell really. The SM could be playing around with the schedule still if they are new. I can’t see why they’d want to cut you loose either if they’re just a temporary SM. Definitely talk to your SM first before doing anything else.

shes been here for about 2 months already and the schedules were pretty good for a while, now she’s doing this stuff so i’m not sure

so this SM i have right now is covering for my actual SM who’s on maternity leave, so she’s new but not permanent. i’ve voiced concerns about the change that’s been occurring in the store, but right now we only have 4 ssvs, 2 for closing and 2 for opening. if i’m only getting 2 days a week, that means the other ssv is getting 5, but she’s in the ASU program and her availability wouldn’t allow that, i cant imagine she’s want me to quit or transfer simply because of how it would leave the store, but idk. the other ssv is clearly her favorite (made obvious from other situations) but she literally can’t work that many hours
