Lady comes in to pick up mobile. Walks out, walks back in.
Customer: my drink is wrong it was supposed to be decaf.
Veteran resident grandma on front: well whats the sticker say?
Customer: shoves drink in her face.
VRGF: well it doesn’t say decaf how are we supposed to know?
Customer: well my receipt said decaf
VRGF: okay, ill have it remade (knowing damn well this lady was wrong) hands me cup.
Me: proceeds to make her BSOSE with decaf shits as she is standing in front of my bar. Hands her drink
Customer: visible grimace, was this shaken?
Me: internally trying my hardest to suppress the pure rage coursing through my veins. Yes ma’am it was shaken (as I see the foam from being shaken and knowing I just shook it in front of her)
Customer: its not but ill take it.
Me: Yes ma’am, I shook it, poured it in your cup and topped it with oat milk.
Customer: shaking her head, it doesn’t look right
Me: Starts speaking in tongue’s clearly possessed by a barista who doesn’t shake shaken espresso’s. So done. 🤬

Holy fuck, my 3 year old knows better! Last Christmas their grandma got both my 3 & 5 girls piggy banks and included $5. Cue my having to explain shit cost money, how to earn it, how to save, how quickly it gets spent. At some point we're at Starbucks and my 3 year old points out "there's money right there! Can we use it?" 🤦🏽♀️
"No crack monkey, that is their tips. Folks leave extra money to show their appreciation for not having to make their own stuff. We never ever take what doesn't belong to us. You wanna drop some in?" Gave her a $5 and hoisted her up when it was our turn.
When she got home she asked if she could play with the money in her bank. I told her was perfectly fine because it's hers. She told me it was always good to ask. I never realize how corny I sound until they repeat it back at me.

I've had a lady ask for 4 shot, shaken espresso in a venti cup. No milk, no nothing just espresso. Then she got upset because the entire cup wasn't foam, then it was to much foam. She walked off with out any drinks, out of anger

First I would tell her to let me see the receipt. And whatever the sticker says is what the receipt will say. Next I will ask her if she has eyes because if they work she would’ve seen me shake it and point to the bubble. If she continues to bark I’ll just say ok 🤡
Edit: normally I would just put the drink far away for customers like her to take it. Or sometimes maybe swing it across rudely.
