i like my dt store and it does get pretty insane in there but i dont mind it bc i think i can handle it well but ive always wondered what its like to work at a bigger store. I live within near 2 that are just 5 minutes from me while my store is 15-20min away and a little more with traffic, it would just feel good to be a little closer to home and i can sleep in a little more. Im a bit shy though having to meet new coworkers and doing things differently bc every store is different! Share your experiences :)

I did! I recently transferred out of state to a cafe only store.

I work as a borrowed partner at a new location that has a drive and it's quite fun to have that distance level drive interaction.

It is equally as hectic in moments, especially in the mornings and before close. It's Starbucks, you get slammed regardless if it's drive or cafe.

However, my stress levels have dropped immensely. Partially because my new store is the actual Starbucks experience I imagined, but mainly because it's cafe focused.

I do miss the customer connection opportunities that drive stores have, and I miss talking to my partners in the headsets.. but I don't miss drive times, being forced to usher people out when you're having a genuine connection, $80+ orders in drive, grilled cheese or panini in drive, eight caramel crunch Frappuccinos in drive, going deaf from the headset, hearing loud noises through the headset, hearing HELLO? the second someone comes to the drive box, reloading cards at drive, being ignored by customers at the box when they just tell me their order and ignore my, "one moment please, I'll be right with you." Etc.)
