By taking advantage of Lyra, honestly it’s just really nice to talk to someone who is not connected to your life at all and hear their neutral perspective. You can also develop some good coping skills through therapy. If that’s not your speed, lately I’ve been reminding myself of a few things: 1. I dont get paid to get stressed 2. I dont get paid more to go faster 3. I dont get paid enough to care. I’m here to make drinks and go home and that’s it. Reminding myself of that takes a lot of self inflicted pressure off myself and has made my job significantly easier. Also making sure you have hobbies outside of work and spend time decompressing and taking care of your physical and mental health because it’s so much easier to be unaffected by work stress when you have a peaceful home life to return to.

It is helpful to wind down after work. Take a bath with lavender salts or bubble mixture, take a few deep breaths, and distance yourself from the day. Try your best to not let your work life steep into your personal one - as hard as that is. Set boundaries in your mind and practice calming self-care to help you unwind your nervous system after being in a high-stress environment all day.
I can’t offer much in terms of being at work other than to not go above and beyond in your position. Starbucks is not paying you to be a perfect robot, even if they expect you to be. Do your job description and set boundaries with your managers if you are being asked to do something that you aren’t paid to do.
