in the last month alone we’ve been through:
-two blender pitcher rinsers
-one blender like the whole ass blender with buttons and a wall plug
-2 cold foam pitchers
-1 frap pitcher
-2 ice buckets
-countless tea pitchers
-nitro machine been serviced twice
-a hand washing sink faucet
-a card reader
-a wet floors sign
-we shattered an iPad
That’s all I can think of currently but jesus I’ve never worked at a store that’s so prone to destroying things in my entire time with Starbucks

So - over time the metal inside the rubber casing on the handle will get stressed through use. This causes the metal to get brittle and break. The rubberized casing hides the fact that it’s metal underneath 😃. There’s the science for ya

A lot of stores aren’t getting sent new ones bc of shortages so if your neighboring stores don’t have a surplus you’re fucked

Basically all of our tea pitchers are broken... and we were informed that each of those are worth like $100... and im like... bruh...
Our cb faucet is leaking...
Both our bars are in rough shape..
One of our coffee urges were broken.. same with the heater stand it chills on...

Yeah we only had 1 shaker for about 4 weeks. It was a new form of hell waiting for shaken espressos to be finished before starting the lineup of refreshers

That's really terrifying.. my store is the busiest in western Canada...
And we make so many refreshers and shaken espressos. Having 1 shaker would murder our store .-. Luckily we have 3 others on the floor... plus extras.

Is it not a standard to wash your tongs (and switch steaming pitchers, spoons, etc.) every 2 hours? Did my store just make that up? We’ve always had 2 pairs because we rotate them when they’re washed.
