It is shitty. Two 10’s would be good. It’s just insane when you think about it like 5.45=10 minutes for break, but 6=40 of break. Only 15 more minutes, and you score a 30 minute break. Why not just make it two 10’s?

Take your breaks! You’re giving away money when you don’t. I worked for Target for 11 years. They owe you your breaks! If they don’t have anyone cross trained to cover they’ll have to close for 15, but that’s not your responsibility.

I tell the new workers this all the time, sadly I’m more of a “I have so much to do” type of person so I just continue working most of the time so I don’t hurt whoever’s opening/closing, but I’ve definitely been taking all my breaks recently. I’m over the nonstop chaos and being left by myself for two years straight.

i’ve been working 5.75 constantly for the past 5 months at least. if i’m lucky i get one 5.5 a week. one 5 a month. i haven’t seen anything below a 5 in over 6 months 😂 i’ve been exhausted, but i’ve heard it’s a union busting technique, we unionized right around the time these shifts started

Thankfully my managers try to get us two tens in our shifts, my previous store only did one and the 5.75 hours too to make sure we didn’t get a thirty either :/ hope that it gets better for ya

Where I used to work I got no breaks no matter how long you worked so I love my 10
