Based on the number of times the customer would ask to have the error drink, I just got to the point that I’d offer it to the next car/customer. If they “noticed” the error after they had true drink and asked to keep it, I’d only let them keep it if They’d paid for it.
I once overheard the customer talking after they had pulled forward just a bit. They’d ordered a hot drink, but told their friend in the car they’d get them a free one by claiming they wanted it iced at the window. No free drinks for them…
