would it be ok to just sign up for the asu program through the school? or would i also need to talk to my store manager. im trying to go asap

You don't need to contact your manager at all! Once you're benefits eligible (or even before I think, if you think you'll be eligible in the coming semester) go ahead and fill out your Fafsa, get your transcripts in order, and apply!
I can't think of any part of the process that your manager would be involved at all except the conversation is about you needing more hours to qualify.
