Sometimes I’m reading these posts and I’m like “yo I swear I’ve experienced this exact same thing at my store….. do we know each other??” I’d never flat out ask a partner if they were on this sub cause I like the anonymity, but I think some of you might be exposing a bit too much info that’ll reveal the store you work at. Nothing wrong with it if you’re not saying anything negative, but still just something to think about 🤷🏿♂️

You can also figure it out if they have the same user across platforms and y'all happen to be social media friends

Exactly

This is why I share more now as a former partner than I did as a current one. I don’t care if former coworkers recognize a story, I don’t even live in the same city anymore!

I found someone I went to high school with on the main sub before, it was really weird

A lot of y'all that post here and /r/Starbucks are hellbent on doxxing yourselves tbh. Every day I remove somewhere around 5-10 posts of people giving away full names, store addresses, full partner numbers, store numbers, etc.
A lot of people who post to these subreddits make it very very easy for someone to find their personal information.
And it's even worse for folks who have access to Partner Hub - with store numbers they can pull up your SM and DM and use that to make fake complaints to get someone fired. With your partner numbers, they can pull your first and last name and what store you work at.
All you have to do is be careless with what you post, and piss off the wrong person. Multiple users between these subreddits have gotten fired purely from something they posted online. Myself included.

You do such a consistent good job protecting people on this sub. Probably one of the best and most long running mods I've ever seen. I appreciate you

You make a great point. I'm suuuuper cautious about that so I never share anything about me. My age, location, gender, first three partner numbers, etc. I won't even be vague about it because my coworkers 100% are on these subs lmao.

I've found a couple of my co workers on here. Either from talking about the reddit in the group chat or at work, or them posting the same thing in both places and outright saying it's them lol

Haha yooo I’m here to say all the negatives. They paid for my school and I’ll still flat out call Starbuck’s a piece of shit company 💁♀️💕

one of my shifts mentioned seeing stuff on this reddit and i was just like..... 👀

I haven’t seen anything that sounded like a coworker wrote it before. I’m pretty careful, personally, about what I say though. I always leave out enough information for plausible deniability.

My manager is on here so I change details of things if I mention it 😂

I think a lot of the same stupid stuff happens in many cafes though. And then all the person has to say is no. Ask me who I am and even if you get it right I’m not saying yes.
