Tfw I've been solo bar since I clocked in with only me and one/sorta two other people on the floor because everyone called out sick, I only had one functional espresso machine for most of it, we're out of vanilla n soon sweet cream, we had to close the cafe but mobiles won't stop and the line wrapped around the store and down the street with everyone having 30 minute wait times at the drive thru

Don't we love when DMs never let us turn off mobiles or close the store even when we're barely standing

Literally! There have been days that the following was down in one day:

1. The dishwasher
2. One out of two espresso machines
3. The ice maker was broken or not producing enough ice so we had to buy bags of ice
4. We're short staff because of call-outs or people are sick
5. The cold brew machine is broken
6. Just anything else that could go wrong

Gosh and can we talk about the custies who act like all this is our fault?? I was ready to lose it when we had a 4th person trying to walk up to the drive thru window upset that they couldn't get their mobile order in the cafe cuz we closed it down. Our store is a busy one, we've been making around $11k in sales, so the fact that we only had 3 of us on the floor at best for half the day, especially during peak, is ridiculous. And of course the DM doesn't wanna do anything about it but still is all "thanks for doing what you do! 🥰"
