Coffee master (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Few-Guidance2205
Does anyone know in better details how to become certified and/or what the process is? I’ve done all the coffee tastings and I’m going thru the 100 booklet, but what else do I need to do to get certified?

My manager was a bit vague about it but it was pretty busy when I asked

Absolutely! I actually just completed mine on the SGA (Starbucks Global Academy) and have my black apron coming soon. To get the black apron you need at minimum sections 100, 200, and 300. To get the title Coffee Master you need the aforementioned 3 above as well as 300-1, 300-2, and 300-3. After that and getting the digital certificates for the completion of all of them, let your manager know and show them proof of the certificates and they will order your black apron!

Make sure to also take note of how the coffee tasting activities went. French press, pourover, etc. You're also supposed to get paid for this training.

In my case it is reading all Level 100-300 content (orderable on IMS) as well as 4-5 classes with all the pursuing coffee masters in my district. I actually already ordered an apron because I do our weekly order hahaha

I'm abit confused by the other comments but maybe our dm is just doing it wrong but I've been told I just need to fill out my core coffee tastings on the coffee passport then paid online training/exams
