i dont cope! that is why im quitting soon! the customers that come to starbies are so out of touch and rude.

former partner here but i have always & will always give lip right back if someone gets testy with me. i don’t believe in being nice to rude assholes, it just rewards bad behavior and makes them think they can do it elsewhere and ruin another employee’s day.
but yeah, i couldn’t cope. starbucks customers are a whole different breed😭 that’s why i walked out

I broke a couple times with people throwing their money on the counter to pay. Not even close to me, they toss it in front of the scanner by the card reader like???? I threw their change on the counter smfh

stuff like not answering after greeting them i genuinely don’t care about. they don’t say anything and i just keep it rolling with my transcript.

snatching things, there’s not much u can actually do besides getting over it.

with the cup size thing if u wanna be actually petty just refund them and charge them for what they wanted. otherwise just tell them to tell you the size they want at the speaker so there’s no confusion next time.

but honestly whenever i get a rude customer, if they’re not super rude or aggressive, i legit just keep going. don’t put any effort into those kinds of people because obviously they’re not worth the issue.

Kill ‘em with kindness

It’s because Starbucks started as a coffee shop but reached fast food status. Customers don’t come for what the business offers, the come for what they want.

at the end of the day i just remind myself that they probably have something going on behind the scenes, and to do some self care for myself afterwards. this job has been great for me to manage work and my school and just life in general so i’ve been trying to not let people get under my skin (ranting on reddit also helps)

I feel you but being passive aggressive back to them doesn’t help. Sometimes it just makes things worse. Don’t let them get to you. Be the better person.
