Sequencing. When I have a couple espresso shots in me I can make around 6 drinks at once (2 shaker drinks while 2 frapps are blending and 2 espresso drinks are pulling shots). Start with drinks that have the longest prep time (pulling shots & steaming milk) and in that time prep quicker drinks. You’ll get a sense for how long everything takes with experience and be able to move accordingly.

I sequence 2-3 at a time. While something is blending im working on the next drink so that they’re both done at the same time.

listening!!! if you have a headset on and are making drive thru bar drinks, listening is key. make the drink as the customer is ordering it. if you can’t listen or find it difficult or get backed up a bit, i take a minute to pull all my tickets, stick them on the cup, and pump all my syrups/sauces/sugars. i am typically on mobile order bar and it’s more busy than drive thru, so i’ll take 5-10 cups, line them up, pump all the sweetener, if there are ice machs, americanos, ice chais, i go ahead and ice and add liquid, then i start doing my shots and as my first shot is pouring, i’ll start lining up my milk and pitcher tins.
