My biggest pet peeve (self.starbucksbaristas)

Is when customers act petty if we “mess up” their order but then don’t accept remakes but continue to act petty about it.

Like this woman today came in when we were slammed tbh, and she did admit to forgetting to order her bagel through the app. So we rung her up quickly and my coworker on warming made it for her very quickly.

Then she rudely is like “Um so I actually didn’t want it warmed up” and we’re like “oh sorry want us to remake it? It’ll only take a second” and she’s like “ugh, no it’s fine”. We told her again, are you sure? We can remake it not toasted no big deal. And she rudely is just like “no” and walks out.

Like damn we offered you a remake and you refused so don’t gotta be rude about it.

People do this with drinks too, like they act rude and say we forgot to add enough ice or a syrup but when offered a remake, they say no but still act mad about it. It annoys me so much.

The larger problem is that Starbucks enables this behavior.

Lol so yea this happens and i hate it.

One time a lady had mobile ordered a drink and a food item. It was kinda busy when she came in to pick up her mobile but not like slammed kind of busy. Anyway her drink was done sitting at the mobile pickup area and my shift was working on her food at the time when the customer walked in. She comes to the register which is right next to hot bar and she says she ordered her venti nonfat latte and forgot to add an extra shot in there. My shift supervisor told her she didnt have to pay for it and that we will just give it to her. I told her to grab her drink. She did. And put it on the ledge between registers and hot bar and i told her that her shot was pulling. I then turned around to do a simple ass trenta green iced tea for a customer who ordered in store. I finish that in 2 seconds n turn around and give it to that customer. I go back to the shot that was pulling for the other customer and i see that she took her drink and was walking it out to her car and then she came back in to wait for her food.

Lmao im like she literally did that to be petty. She wanted me to see that she was impatient? I dont get it lol she was waiting for her food to be done anyway. So why walk ur drink out to ur car separately? Cuz ur a petty asshat. Like u were literally getting something for free and u wana indirectly cry about it when u were waiting on ur food anyway and the shot pulling was like 20 seconds lmao wtf does she think i press a button and it automatically gets dispensed right away? People are obnoxiously entitled

Fr like people act so mad if we make the tiniest mistake or even if it’s their mistake and we try to fix it. They’re the type of people to just look for something to be mad about. It’s never that serious

Yea like you told us that you forgot to add something in your drink that costs money and we tell you that we can just give it to you free of charge no problem and then you get mad that you literally had to wait the 20 seconds that it takes to pull the espresso shot. Even though you're literally still waiting on your food to be made and the shot got done before that. Anyway when she came back in and waited for her food to be done, I told her I was like oh I turned around to give you the espresso shot right after it was done pulling and I didn't see you in here and I asked her if she still wanted it and she didn't even look at me and she had her head turned with her nose up in the air like a little child and she said no it's fine in a passive aggressive tone. I don't know why customers do this to us. Like I would never go somewhere and then tell them I forgot something in my order and if they offer to add it in for free, I stay quiet the entire time that they're preparing whatever I forgot because I'm going to be getting it for free and I would be grateful for that. But no some people can't even shut their mouth or their attitude off for like 20 seconds

the amount of customers who think one little thing we do gets too confusing and storm out…

The few times this has happened I'm just like "no we are remaking it! It won't take long at all! We don't mind!" And if they try to say no I'm like "nope it's already being done! It's all good we got you!"
Lololol
