So my store told me to clean sinks with the restroom cleaner but I saw a post about how it isn’t food safe. Should I still clean the sinks with restroom cleaner? Is that what’s normal or other products instead?

yea you can use the restroom cleaner in the sinks since you shouldn’t be putting food in there so it shouldn’t come into contact with food

do u make food in the sink 🤨

You aren't putting food in contact with the sink and then serving it to a customer.

Standard for cleaning sinks is the blue multi surface spray, or just dish soap.
Restroom cleaner is commonly used and won’t create any health problems, but it isn’t standard and per policy shouldn’t be used behind the bars
It can be used on bathroom sinks, but not bar sinks

wait can I ask where to find the cleaning standards bc I’ve been wanting to know for so long

They’re on the iPads under store resources! If you search “SCEMM” you’ll find them all

It is pretty common for people to use restroom cleaner for the sinks but it’s a slight pet peeve of mine because it dissolves the sealant around the sinks. If you have the TB quaternary disinfectant (same chemicals as Sani in a different concentration) that will work plenty well for a daily sink cleaning.

This explains so much as to why our sinks sealants are FUCKED up

iirc thats what we're supposed to use to clean the sinks, so it shouldn't be a problem
