8 hour shift no lunch (self.starbucksbaristas)

Are we allowed to not have a lunch? We were understaffed today and my manager told me to take a lunch on the clock and step on the floor when they need help. I was pretty upset considering i came in despite being sick and super exhausted.

Depends on how short staffed you are. If there are only 2 people in the store and 1 needs a break, then that person will take a paid 30 minute break because they are technically working as you can not leave 1 person alone in the store.
