No. It should be after the store is closed. Our RM came last fall and made a big deal about it because we had been doing it during open hours. There’s also some things you just can’t do while the store is open. You should have two hours of non coverage scheduled for three people after the store is closed.

My store does it during operating hours and it’s the most frustrating thing ever. I’m a closer and on clean play night all we do is get in each others way. We’re all trying to use the sink when there’s only one etc. Literally 6 months ago they said they would change it to after hours and never did.

No, it should always be done after close. Starbucks classifies tasks as disruptive or non disruptive. Disruptive tasks effects production or customer service. The clean play consists of only disruptive tasks that’s why it should be done after close. That being said we still do a few disruptive tasks during service. Think cleaning the washroom because cleaning them also involves not allowing a customer to use it while being cleaned. On the play builder it assigns the other disruptive tasks to times the floor should be less busy, overall not really helpful. Also the clean play to do all the tasks properly is in my option impossible so some of those things will need to be done at other times.

Night only but a lot of stores can’t do it then. We do it during the day.

we used to do ours after hours but now we’re scheduled for it while the store is open, we’ll do half while open and the rest when closed
