is this legit or am i being lied to? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by google-ass
hey everyone, 1 year canadian partner here. i’m a university student with a rather heavy course load this semester, so i wanted to cut my availability back to just saturdays and sundays. my manager texted me this morning, saying i had to be available for at least 3 days a week, and that i had to change my availability to include another day. i’ve never heard this before, so is this a new policy? before this, i always worked at least 4-5 days a week, so i have no idea where i stand for this. also, there are other partners at my store who only work one shift a week, i assumed it was because they were only available for one day?

if this is a legit policy, where can i find the resources to read up on it?

I believe there was a recent update that required a minimum of 12 hours to be worked in order to be a partner at a store. Which makes sense

I've no idea but what contract are you signed on for? It might be that if you're full-time they need you to be full time and not part-time, though I'm not really sure. If you can no longer fulfil your hours it's not what they signed on for
