I quit the other day and it was the best decision I’ve made. I never went to Starbucks before getting hired there and I was so blown away by the culture lmao. Anyway I quit for mental health reasons, specifically because customers were transphobic asf. They hated me and made sure I knew it. Corporate is beyond awful but y’all know that right ? Anyway my main point is there are significantly better options out there for people with no education/no experience that don’t subject you to the horrors of late stage capitalism and throw you between fully grown adults behaving like children and they coffee/sugar addiction. I thought I could stick it out but being called slurs in the drive thru, having violent threats made toward me, having people dump their drinks on you and people misgendering you on purpose (I know cause a lot of time they’d gender me correctly on dto then pull up to the window and the vibe would change) lol and the ridiculous pressure from corporate to just CoNnEcT with these people and kiss their ass after being called slurs😅regardless I’m just making this post for anyone who feels trapped by the siren. There are better options out there ! Pls shop around, the unionization is a slow battle and ngl leaving is the most relieving feeling, I was dreading every shift. Opened up Spotify and premium was already gone lmao and it reminded me to make this post. Don’t kill yourself for Starbucks corporation and these terrible terrible people who get coffee at Starbucks lmao💕💅

Ps. The drinks and especially the food are terrible ngl Starbucks never should’ve competed with McCafé cause that’s what they’ve become. Byeeeeeee
