One time I was working DTO and this lady ordered a small. So I said “you would like that in a tall” and she proceeded to say “no not tall, SMALL, S-M-A-L-L” like i didn’t know what a small was. My coworker just told me to tell her that our small size was called a tall but it was a very funny experience. It is now an inside joke with some partners at my store.

FACTS. had an old couple come thru and order one tall drink, okay sounds good. when i hand them the drink at the window they start yelling its too small and they ordered the biggest one and pointing at the seasonal cups (venti size) in the window ledge saying “that’s what tall means to me.” i was so fed up i just said “well, that isnt what it means for me” and shut the window
