sometimes i feel like my shifts/shifts in general talk to/about their barista like they are stupid. i get that some people don’t know what they’re doing but if i have shown time and time again i know what to do, plz don’t tell me a play by play when i’m in the middle of doing exactly what i need to be doing. like jesus.

No you are not I see it too. I have a shift who is only 19 and he talks to me like I'm a child, it's frustrating but I think some of my younger shifts let the label get too their heads and they start acting condescending

They do this to me all the time and I started doing it back and now it’s stopped? Hilarious how that works.

literally i got a play by play on how to open the floor today and i looked at my shift and went “yeah obviously i know” and they were like “you don’t need to have an attitude” and i was like “girly it’s bc you’re talking to me like i’m at idiot”. like when did sticking up for yourself suddenly become having an attitude

When it’s to someone above you it’s always an “attitude” or “being rude” 🙄🙄

Weird power fantasies mostly.

Narcissism is my next guess.
