Before I started I thought I was just going to make drinks lol. My first day was easy as they show me CS, how to brew, and I did handouts for the rest of the night since it was dead. I had a cool trainer and my partners are so cool. I work by 2 colleges so bunch of college kids. But training was kind of rough for me. Im more confident in other things now, like warming, POS, Window, Hot bar.

It’s funny because I hated hot bar because it was complicated but now I got more practice, it’s easier and I did cold bar like 3 times so I need practice on that. During training, I TRIED to do drive thru POS but it’s too complicated. The headset sucks and some customers order so fast and talk too low. It was also hard because I wasn’t that good at POS so my trainer had to take over.

I have work today so I’m going to ask for cold bar time and POS so I can be better lol. I like working at Starbucks and its getting easier. I met a lot of people. But some customers are so entitled.

We ran out of oatmeal cups but we were selling them in regular hot cups but warming just told me to not sell them anymore so when this guy came in, I told him we didn’t have it. Then one of my partners that just clocked in said we do but we’re selling in different cups but before I could tell him we’re not selling them anymore, the customer got mad and started cursing all of us out lol.

Another time, I had finished taking a guys order and when so was putting change away, he started snapping at me, talking about, “Make my coffe now, I want it” UGH.

Anyways, I’m going to get a white mocha chocolate and pumpkin muffin today. I’m trying everything in the menu. So any recommendations?
