Coworkers make my drink incorrectly(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Dazzling_Pop_7073
I was thinking recently about how often my coworkers make my drink wrong. I understand making a mistake here and there but I'd say 50% of drinks I don't make myself... come out wrong. I received a London Fog with no vanilla, coffee missing the pumps of syrup or Carmel drizzle, one partner always makes my strawberry açaí lemonades so watered down, and another always seems confused by the smallest modifications. I can't tell if they rush partner drinks or my store just is mediocre at making drinks lol. Does anyone else have this issue? I hate asking for drinks to be remade from my own coworkers but I still do sometimes.

No bc this is why I make my own

Literally, I try to always make my own but certain shifts get their panties twisted about it so sometimes I do sadly have to order. One of the people that always messes up my drinks is a shift now which is truly sad bc he makes such mediocre if not straight up bad quality drinks

I just pretend I’m making a drink for someone else if they’re really being assholes abt it

dude, isn’t that the worst… i got a shaken espresso today with about 8 ice cubes in it… they made me an iced latte. and i wasn’t about to bring it back but i was lowkey upset bc that is why we have standards. i try to pay attention while they’re making it, but i also try to pay a lot of attention to who’s on bar throughout the day when i’m working, and actively coach in the moment anything i’m seeing wrong. my store has a lot of green beans right now and we’re a pretty high volume store so i think a lot of newbies got thrown on bar to fend for themselves before they were actually ready. don’t feel bad if you correct them, you’re most likely going to be nicer about it then the next customer that they make it wrong for.

Happens to me all the time with a few coworkers and I’ve just taken it as inspiration to make it myself in the future.

Could be a lot of things. Start paying extra attention to them while on bar and share the knowledge in the moment! It’s usually forgetfulness or a training issue, but it’s all of our jobs really to educate so to in turn get consistent quality.

I asked for a matcha lemonade with 3 pumps honey blend syrup. I got a matcha latte add lemonade & the pumps of syrup. I was so frustrated. Who in their right mind would want that…. Just sayin

I have a coworker that drinks iced matcha with the coconut milk and lemonade…he adds toasted vanilla too.
