My store had an incident this spring where one of our shifts had been transferred from another store an hour away, we later found out he was transferred because he assaulted a barista at his old store. Starbucks waited until well after he plead guilty to fire him. We got a vice article written about it and we’ve sent multiple letters to corporate with no response. It is so awful that Starbucks keeps putting baristas in these situations. I am with you in solidarity, and best believe that the people in my store and Starbucks workers united are trying our best to have our voices heard so hopefully we can see change in the future.

We had a 30yo male partner who was texting freshly 18yo girls asking them to go to the mountains with him and come over to watch movies. He was very touchy feely with people at work and was told to stop and just laughed it off. Everyone felt so uncomfortable around him and we told the SM and she did nothing. We ended up calling Ethics and Compliance and they did a full investigation and then my new SM (the OG one transferred) fired the guy. Good riddance. Bastard also gave me Covid on Xmas eve cuz he came to work sick :/
