No ice refreshers (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by canidieyet_
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it standard to fill no/light ice refreshers all the way? I’m not working for 4 more days so I can’t check on the ipad myself.

I saw a post from one of those secret recipe groups on FB and it was about a mango dragonfruit no ice, filled up to the top black line. People in the comments were talking about how it should be full, and baristas were attacking those people saying they were wrong (and how they’d get fired if they filled it??)

Maybe standard is to fill it, I’m just second guessing myself after seeing so many comments saying it isn’t 🤡

Yes. Beverage Resource Manual has a page that discusses this, and then I believe there was a weekly update from within the last year or so that reiterated the policy. Fill to the top (unless you're licensed, sometimes licensed locations are a bit wild west-y)

former LS here, yeah we would fill the refresher part to the water line and water up to the ice line.

If it’s no ice no water though, we don’t fill it all the way right?
(I always fill it, but I’ve heard that we might not be supposed to unless asked? Idk)

Nah you still have to fill it. The beverage resource manual even has a little chart on it regarding all the modifiers.

If it’s no ice no water the standard is actually unclear but it reads like you shouldn’t fill it

At least at my store it is. The manager sent the standards in the group chat when they updated the advice for it. If I remember right it's base to the second line on the shaker and water/lemonade to the top one if there's no ice so yeah, it should be full
