submitted by Internal_Ad_4983
all of our drains have flooded the store and the district manager said she doesnt care if its a lawsuit and is making our starbucks stay opened. could i face repercussions for reporting this to the health department?

They should take an anonymous report and you can ask them not to divulge your identity.

Repercussions is just another word in this case for retaliation which is highly illegal.

Wait I just saw this in the other group. You and “cagehoe” must work together 😂

Was about to say the same thing! Internal Ad and CageHoe, you got this!

Yes same!

Also call the ethics hotline. That’s not acceptable.

Are you the same person that posted the sink drain on r/Starbucks? Joking aside, nah that be illegal. It’s not your fault that the drain is flooding. It’s the DM or store manager to make sure it’s not flooded

Thank you. I was thinking this had been asked and could not remember where I saw it. It’s not on their post history but it could be an alt account. Idk why they wouldn’t post it all under the same tho
darkwolf523 1 points 9m ago
Idk

My thought is it’s probably someone else hopefully at the same store. But that’s just off the basis that I personally only use my alt for Starbucks stuff. Nothing that can be tracked back to me like I use my other for

i work with that person lol! but i wasnt working that day and i didnt want to report it and have the people that were face any repercussions.
darkwolf523 1 points 9m ago
Damn 😂 nah that should be reported though

Make sure you document everything you see to present to the health department. Consult an employment attorney because if you get fired for contacting the health department you may have a cause of action.

Our store did the same we closed and went and worked in other stores its a health issue call and dont give your name and ur boss is just nasty or do like me use vacation pay
Detoxingonvideogames 2 points 9m ago
Our store flooded and management refused to close. As soon as OSHA was involved suddenly its a “safety hazard” and “we have to close.” Its illegal to retaliate against you for reporting them.

Yea anonymous call Health department .Code enforcement. District Manager. They can't make you stay and walk around in sewage. Just more proof why y'all need a Union.

Ask a friend or family to report for you.

I’m a former partner… I’ll phone it in if you want me to.

Probably because you all haven’t done them and the health department won’t do much because it’s a national chain
Delicious_Buffalo_13 24 points 9m ago
Broooo they back up because ITS POO WATER from people sticking too much tp and other stuff down the toilets and clogging the pipes. Calmaté papí before it happens to your store
Pickle-Chunk 18 points 9m ago
That’s not true.
The part about the health department not doing anything; just because it’s a big chain doesn’t mean shit. In fact they’re even harder on chains.
darkwolf523 1 points 9m ago
That’s….not how that works.
