can partners wear back braces on the floor? (self.starbucksbaristas)

about a month ago i started wearing a back brace due to a medical problem, and when i first informed my sm abo it and gave her a doctors note she was totally fine with it. i can still do everything i need to and the brace doesn’t inhibit my mobility (and you can’t even see it). however, our new asm has recently said partners aren’t allowed to wear back braces on the floor and sent someone else home because of it. i’m planning to talk to my sm again about this, but does anyone know anything about this?

Lmao what? That seems incredibly bizarre. I’d wear an undershirt and wear it over the undershirt but under your actual shirt, if asm if gonna be a fuckin weirdo about it. Contact Sedgwick though, if it’s due to a documented medical problem and you get an accommodation there’s nothing ASM can do.

I know you can’t wear wrist braces for food safety but I can’t see why that applies to a brace under your clothing. I just wouldn’t tell them you are wearing it it’s not like they can ask you to remove your shirt to prove you are wearing one.

I have never heard that but if its not visible and you have approval I wouldn’t bring it up with the ASM.
