Yes, do you have Starbucks third place policy's on the windows? You can show them that and tell them that's why you refuse service. Also you can write an incident report and start the process to get them banned

Thank you. The other day at my store I got someone who said something extremely rude/bad to us. She had ordered a very modified Frappuccino ( the supervisor had taken the order). She gets to the window, wants to see ut first and then says there's stuff, wrong with it. The one worker goes to fix the drink. And after she paid and got het card back. I'm almost 100% sure I heard her say: y'all are retarded.
Over a stupid ass most likely from tik tok and she probably didn't even order it right Frappuccino.

I'm going to check to see if these ate anywhere near the dtw when I work next

The customer harassment at my store got so bad we put them up in both of our drive thru windows, all the front doors and a copy taped to the display case. People are horrible, one even made a comment oh you are just a fast food worker I'm allowed to talk to you like that

If we could film these people and send it to news stations and all over the net, most of them would think twice about how they treat retail and food service workers

If they’re acting out of line, let them know their behavior is inappropriate and not allowed (if you’re comfortable with saying so). If they don’t stop, you can definitely refuse service.

If they paid for a drink and haven’t yet received it, and *then* they start harassing you or doing anything that’s disruptive / violates the “Third Place Policy” let them know that they’re being inappropriate. If they still haven’t stopped, and you haven’t given them the drink, let them know that you refuse to give the drink but make sure to at least refund their payment and let them know.

Ultimately though, if you are in a situation where you’re being harassed and uncomfortable, please don’t hesitate to let an SM know. They’ll take over and resolve the issue, especially if you’re unsure how to handle the customer and you can remove yourself from the situation.

If you do end up refunding the items, make sure you do an actual refund and a SSV doesn't void it. That way you have a copy of the refund receipt for them and for yourself if they try to push it and say they paid a d never received the items. I've realized my mistake a couple of times after I just voided the order.

Edit: realized this might not work if you the person paid with card or app vs. cash because they might not let you refund to the device. If you do end up needing to void, take the time to document the time and other details and make sure you put in an incident report when you leave. The receipt for the voided items should still have a transaction number, so I usually add that to the report.
