honestly, the best training i got was from being on the floor as coverage. it is stressful and a little scary to start off with but you learn pretty quick how to deal with it. as for the company not caring, i think it’s more than your SM doesn’t (which is equally crappy).
if it’s not easier in a month, then it probably won’t ever get better. but it took me about that long to acclimate and i’ve already passed my one-year!

I don't think anyone feels adequately trained at starbucks honestly. I broke down crying my first full Saturday shift because it was a shit show and I was on for 8.5 hours just thrown into everything. It's physically impossible to learn all drinks within the one week they give for training.
The partners will understand you're new, probably put you on reg or warming and if it's slow, maybe ask to have more time on bar to get acquainted with it.
I know it's scary at first. The training is complete BS. But the best training there is is being on the floor unfortunately.

I honestly did not feel like I was adequately trained / ready to be on the floor after my initial training. I spent a good few weeks just doing a lot of research through Reddit on things I wasn’t sure about (especially with bar / drink measurements).
Please don’t hesitate to ask questions! It will definitely take a bit to get used to it all. The first 2 months, I really was miserable and was worried that I wasn’t cut out for the job.
(I honestly would’ve quit if it wasn’t for the fact that I need income and I quit a previous job a few months ago so and I was worried how it would look on my job history 😅)
I stuck with it though and for me personally, I finally felt comfortable and somewhat efficient at around 3 months. It does get overwhelming, and don’t feel ashamed if you truly don’t think it’s the right job for you.
