are you limited to a certain number of classes you can take a session?

Usually they recommend 1 for part-time and 2-3 for full time (A & B sessions) or 4 (C session). Each 3 hour course equals 18 hours of studying a week for around 7.5 weeks. This is called session A and B. Session C is a full 16 week course or so. Studying hours may vary since it’s more time given but I’m not 100% how much since I’ve never done session C. Only some courses have it as an option not all.

Advisors recommend max of 3 classes in an A or/and B term due to how stressful it can get. However, you may be able to take as many as you’d like. But be careful, courses can be harder than others needing more than 18 hours for your own self pace. Some partners combine session A and B with C to help manage larger course loads.

Don’t forget to check your balance. If you exceed whatever fafsa grants, SCAP money, and Starbucks CAP which only pays $5,250 per calendar year, you get income taxed based on state laws. This may result in 0 paychecks until Starbucks receives the full tax. This happens sometimes to a few partners and they get student loans to help make up for it. However, budget this carefully. Sometimes the scholarship ASU gives you isn’t always available according to what some partners have told me. All this is easy to check in the finance section on your ASU account.
