Partners who've transferred or work in the US help! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Anxietyy-Cat
Hi everyone, I'm a Canadian partner looking to move to California, is there a visa I can apply for to work at Starbucks? Will Starbucks help me get a visa? I'm so confused about what visa I'd need so any help is appreciated 😭

Unless something change very recently, Starbucks is not going to sponsor you. You're on your own as far as getting working visa.

Why don't you call the store you're trying to teansfer to and ask?

I did! The manager doesn't know cause he's never had a transfer like that before :(

That is because it's not a transfer. It's different country, you're not transferring between stores. Starbucks Canada is not same company as Starbucks, Inc. in USA.

Idk, Partner Resources said it was a type of transfer, I just need the visa and the store info, so I just need to figure out what visa to get and they'd take care of the transfer part

You need H-1B visa. Starbucks will need to petition on your behalf which again they do not do that. Also seem strange that partner resources would say that. Might want to call again and double check.
