My Biggest Barista pet peeve here at the siren is……(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by AuntieRia1128
What is your biggest pet peeve at the siren, that doesn’t seem to bother Any of the other Baristas you work with?
I’ll start- I get sooooo irritated when people put alt milks in the fridge that are dated, but not opened, OR opened and not dated! These should Always be done at the same time!!! But others are like- “it doesn’t really matter, we’ll use them before that date anyway…” and I get that, but also the health inspector doesn’t care, and also that isn’t ALWAYS the case… ie. Soy, coconut…
desairologist223 points9m ago
STOP PUTTING THE SHAKER LID ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHAKER. EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON THE COUNTER IS NOW IN YOUR DRINK. FUCKING GROSS.
meowdrian60 points9m ago
This is it. This is the one.
I’ve seen it from brand new baristas and 9 year store managers. HOW IS THIS HAPPENING IN SO MANY STORES AND WHY DOES NO ONE SEE HOW ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING IT IS?????
desairologist48 points9m ago
It’s always people that have never worked in food before. If someone has worked in a restaurant, I almost never see it. Starbucks has abysmal food contact safety training, this and WET STACKED CUBES
MrsClaireUnderwood16 points9m ago
Then people who proceed to pour beans into cubes that are wet for who knows how long without wiping it down first.
coffee-and-chillll34 points9m ago
YESSSS. I always think maybe I’m just snobby but I’m so glad it’s not just me who thinks this is gross. I just don’t understand how partners don’t realize that the bottom of the shaker sits on the counter, so putting the lid on top of that which will then touch the liquid of drinks when being shaken…EW. Drinks are now in direct contact with whatever is on the counter 🤮 I make a distinct effort to change this shaker setup whenever I see it, it grosses me out and pisses me off tbh
CoffeeWMyCat4 points9m ago
or almost as bad, putting the lid on the shaker but the lid is upside down. your gross hands were all over the outside of that lid (and we all know the outside of the lid doesn’t get rinsed) and now it’s on the inside of the shaker. just put the lid on right!!!
coffee-and-chillll1 points9m ago
This. People do the same thing at my store. I don’t get why people don’t put the shaker upside down and the lid upright, separately. Or put the lid on the shaker how it goes together normally. Just stop with the lid and shaker being in contact with surfaces we touch :/
CoffeeWMyCat0 points9m ago
yeah bestie the shaker is not supposed to be stored upside down. it’s against QASA regulations.
LetterheadFun252510 points9m ago
It’s Literally A Health Code Violation. Shift Sup. Here 👋🏽
dlcksuck7 points9m ago
I only do this after close when they’re clean. Solely because I think it looks better
oatmilkdonut3 points9m ago
i call this “butt to mouth” so it resonates with my partners and they stop doing it lmao
kimememememe3 points9m ago
I absolutely hate seeing this but also there’s literally no other space to put them on our bar set up 😰
Illustrious-Yak-82166 points9m ago
Just flip the lid upside down so that the outside is touching the bottom of the shaker rather than the inside. Still saves space and is less icky 👍
No-Special84521 points9m ago
That’s what I started doing a couple months ago then our DM came in one day and told my GM they can’t be left like that so now we have to just set them down down on the rack without making contacting without each other. ( I work at the airport)
kimememememe1 points9m ago
I’ll try this! Though a lot of my coworkers are incredibly clumsy and constantly knock things over so we’ll see how long this lasts :’)
Jaded_Fun_71331 points9m ago
That’s what I do!
strawberry_sprite_1 points9m ago
just put the lid on the shaker normally when not using
xthefabledfox2 points9m ago
People at my store also will put pitchers upside down onto the bare counter into a puddle of watery milk… nasty
strawberry_sprite_2 points9m ago
i cannot wrap my head around what makes people think this is okay but everyone does it at my store except for me
cshluke0 points9m ago
AT MY TARBUCKS WE ALWAYS DO THE UPSIDE DOWN LID ON THE BOTTOM, BUT HEALTH INSPECTOR CAME AND SAID WE CANT DO THAT AND IT HAS TO BE UPSIDE DOWN
diphenhydranautical199 points9m ago
i hate when people don’t clean up after themselves. nothing pisses me off more than going to make a pink drink or a caramel ribbon crunch and walking over to an unrinsed shaker/blender pitcher.
strombolipuppetry81 points9m ago
UGHHHHHHH THE UNCLEANED MILK WANDS. that one is the worst for me.
likechasingclouds19 points9m ago
Literally everyone at my store 🙃
diphenhydranautical34 points9m ago
i genuinely don’t understand it. when i learned bar i made sure cleaning up was a *part* of my sequencing. maybe it’s my OCD but in my brain if you use it you *put it right back when you’re done.* plus it makes barring so much easier. a lot of it for me is muscle memory and if everything is cleaned and where it’s “supposed” to be (i realize everyone is different and will set their bar up a different way) then i am so much faster on bar
likechasingclouds14 points9m ago
I feel that 💯. I've worked in some sort of food service for years and I just prefer working in an organized and clean way. Just makes more sense to me and it saves you time and stress later.
Enough_Raise_71673 points9m ago
THIS. ALL THE WAY.
dnims2412 points9m ago
We have a big problem with some people not cleaning their frap pitchers. I’m usually on dto so I don’t mind turning around to help them out once in a while but like come on guys
Distinct-Apartment393 points9m ago
Those were the easiest to clean for me bc they were so heavy I could just throw them on the rinser thing while finished up and handed off a drink and have it be almost clean by the time I came back to it 😅 also if someone else DESPERATELY needed it, it wasn’t as inconvenient for them to finish cleaning it themselves
West-Priority-53958 points9m ago
or when the counter is covered in liquids and crumbs and empty containers. i call out my coworker for this everyday and they ALWAYS get so defensive it’s infuriating
Renyx6 points9m ago
Or ice/water all over the counter
diphenhydranautical7 points9m ago
as much as that does bother me, it’s hard to avoid that especially on cold bar since ours is right next to the ice bin. it’s not something i’ll get mad *at* anyone about, but it is annoying
Renyx2 points9m ago
It's hard to avoid, yes, but it's easy to get the ice cubes off the counter at least. So many people leave them to melt into large puddles that then drip onto the floor.
BaristaBabe134 points9m ago
When I worked for the siren, I absolutely hated when I was constantly cleaning up after others because they would make such a huge mess that it would spill over onto my station… it takes literally 3 seconds to rinse a pitcher or wipe up a spill. 🤬
diphenhydranautical2 points9m ago
honestly i used to love closing but i’m starting to hate it because it’s just cleaning up after everyone else from the whole day lol. and i love cleaning, but there are so many things that could be done so much more quickly and easily if other people took the two seconds to pick up behind themselves.
watched17106 points9m ago
RINSE YOUR STICKY SLIMY SHOT GLASSES BETWEEN SHOTS ITS NOT THAT HARD !!! literally so disgusting when I go to make a drink and the shot glass is covered in slimy stale stinky espresso aside from being gross. It’s also really unhygienic imagine not rinsing your steam pictures.
dnims2418 points9m ago
When I went to rinse the espresso glass a partner (not shift) got mad at me and said not to. I don’t remember her exact reasoning behind it but it’s confused me to this day
Solid_Wish19 points9m ago
I don't use the cold rinser. I simply perform a rinse on the machine because most people don't do a rinse every so often and wonder why their shots get uncalibrated. That way i get the machine and the glass in one go.
Electrical_Metal_1063 points9m ago
This is actually in the training somewhere-I just read it last week when I was looking something up.
Solid_Wish6 points9m ago
Nice! When you accidentally do something right 👍🏼
dnims241 points9m ago
That’s a good idea. I’ll have to remember that one
galaxia_v13 points9m ago
and i flip the glass upside down under the rinse as well so the outside isn’t sticky anymore. or i’ll use a new sani rag on the outside.
Ok_Investigator43141 points9m ago
I think it’s because the water is cold and the glass is hot so it could break
desairologist3 points9m ago
Fun fact, they’re not even glass anymore!
Ok_Investigator43146 points9m ago
WHAT
lunarmadz3 points9m ago
This is MINE ITS SO GROSS I’m constantly rinsing my shot glass
KnightlyStars64 points9m ago
Can't stand it when people don't wring out their rags over a sink before throwing it back into the sani bucket. Please. Please understand we can make the sani and rags last longer if people stop tossing rags sopping wet with mocha or coffee or something. Second is when people just don't clean their bar as they go, and when i get on bar everything is messy and sticky and gross. Third is when people don't clean off the area at the end of the bar where we put our CLEAN DISHES FOR WHEN WE CLOSE. Cool you just put alllllll those clean dishes on top of syrup and milk and inclusions and who knows what else :)

coffee-and-chillll45 points9m ago
When partners hop around all over the place to try and help. I get it, you’re trying to help, but if you help me on cold bar and then disregard the cold drinks I lineup next to you, as I assumed you would make them since you’re already over there, and jump back over to hot bar and take the hot drinks I was gonna make so now I have to switch to cold bar as you’ve decided to take over hot bar…I just don’t get it. It breaks any potential flow we could have on bar and now we’re both just running back and forth between hot and cold bar. It’s not efficient, and it makes me feel like I’m slow because the other barista takes the hot bar orders from me as if I’m not fast enough so now I have to go to cold bar and make the drinks they could’ve made while they were on cold bar. To me, it’s baristas “choosing” what they want to do on bar and it’s reaaaally frustrating. If I’m already on hot bar and in a flow why do I have to jump to cold bar because the other barista decided to leave cold bar and take over hot bar
Also, I cannot stand when the drive thru window partner comes over and stands right next to me as I’m on drive thru bar to watch me and wait for the drink to be finished for the customer at the window. Yes, I’m behind and ideally the drinks would be done by the time the customer reaches the window but that’s not reality. We don’t have anyone on support so while I’m on bar I’m also getting ice, milks, cups/lids, and syrups. Gotta love when both vanilla syrup bottles on hot bar are out in the middle of a rush!!
Window partner: please do not stand next to me and watch my every move as I finish the drink, you can simply stand a little further back and maybe organize mobile orders or simply try connecting with the customer at the window. The stress and pressure this adds when I’m running between hot and cold bar to crank out drive thru orders is enough, I don’t need a partner standing *right next to me*, making me feel slow and extra pressured.
Also I really don’t think it’s sanitary when the window partner jumps in to finish drinks without washing their hands first, but that’s just me
MakatoKun21 points9m ago
Window is considered a planted position. They shouldn’t be moving around at all, and should be connecting with the customer. The person who should be communicating that they’re waiting on something is the dto partner. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves because it kinda disregards the point of that position in the first place
uwumoment20 points9m ago
there’s never a second person at dto at my store so it can’t be planted because, with our staffing, usually dto has to take orders, window, and grab food
coffee-and-chillll7 points9m ago
Exactly! You explained it all perfectly. When I’m on window I don’t leave to track down the drink I’m waiting on, I try to connect with the customer and I know the drive thru bar partner will stage the drink when it’s ready. Hunting down the drink to the point that I’m literally standing next to the barista and watching them make the drink would be ridiculous and just add more stress to them
Unfortunately my store doesn’t treat window like it’s a planted position :/ but when I’m on it you best believe I do. I don’t really blame the window partner for roaming over to the bar when waiting for a drink, I think they’re trying to be helpful, but I really wish this wasn’t a thing. It isn’t helpful, and it’s like trust me I will get the drink to you when it’s done.
If you don’t see it staged it’s not done, and hunting down the drink as I’m making it isn’t saving significant time. Also I hate to be this partner but so many coworkers at my store don’t even try to be courteous to customers…maybe use the time you’d be stalking me on drive thru bar to greet the customer at the window? Just a thought
Partners at my store aren’t receptive to directions/advice so I think it would backfire for me to try to correct this
gemlikbase2 points9m ago
Happy cake day!
coffee-and-chillll1 points9m ago
Thank you :)
Enough_Raise_71672 points9m ago
It also annoys me when they jump onto bar without washing their hands. Then I have to wipe everything down that they've contaminated with their dirty money hands. Also, if you're DTR and want to help, stay in your approximate area. At our store DTR, DTO, and warming are all lined up in that order. So it makes sense to take two steps to help the partner closest to you instead of walking 20 ft from the window down to cold bar where you're adding to the congestion.
coffee-and-chillll3 points9m ago
Yesss! Ugh I wish warming at my store was near DTO and DTR. At my store warming is literally on the other side of the store from the drive thru, and the walk when you’re on warming to stage food for drive thru orders is a whole journey lol
Jumping onto bar or warming without washing your hands is honestly disturbing to me. I don’t blame you wiping everything down, it’s gross and it’s like do y’all know how many germs are on cash that you just touched?? They handle cash and then touch everything we touch on bar…yikes. And like you said it also adds to bar congestion when the window partner comes over and hangs out on bar, trying to finish drinks I’m making right in front of me
I wanna scream when I see it all happening, so I just scream inside
Enough_Raise_71672 points9m ago
LOL I also scream inside. Our warming used to be farther away from the window so I know your struggle. And having to wipe everything down just takes more time that we don't have, especially during peak. It's hard not to scream at people. It seems like they're less interested in helping and just want to be on bar.
coffee-and-chillll2 points9m ago
You’re spot on, I totally agree. Most don’t really wanna help, they just wanna be on bar but only at select moments and with select drinks. Partners at my store walk away from cold bar to switch to hot bar and it’s not helpful at all. I totally get that, time on peak is so damn precious and limited 😭
Socko-The-Sock39 points9m ago
I guess this is just a problem when working at an LS but when another barista butts in when I'm helping a customer. Like the customer will ask me a question and before I can speak the other barista will answer or they'll make the interaction more confusing than it needs to be. I am more than capable of handling it.
RayBun411 points9m ago
I get the opposite, I try to let our newer people handle customers but our regulars will look over to me instead. Like, nope talk to them today I'm just here to make sure things go nice.
kurokittie5 points9m ago
literally nothing makes me more peeved!! I used to have this problem with my supervisor when I was new & it was always awkward to get barked at loudly while a customer is attempting to finish their order lol
Sweet-Art21032 points9m ago
THIS! there was a girl at my store who did this constantly let’s say i’m on dto and we were out of cream cheese, someone orders a bagel and as SOON as they say can i have a plain bagel she’ll say over the mic nope no cream cheese- like i KNOW that please let me tell them myself thank you
paigemclachlan1 points9m ago
YES OMG
gossipgorgon38 points9m ago
not shaking the almond milk. the amount of times ive had to remake drinks bc someone didnt shake it and it tasted like straight water 😭💔
LissaCat2237 points9m ago
CLEAN ANYTHING MATCHA TOUCHES!!! Don't rinse it, clean it. Clean the sink when you pour out a whole Matcha drink because when you let it sit there it's not very nice to smell in the mornings.
mayor-em33 points9m ago
Put. Your. Milks. Away.
glo-frog2 points9m ago
YES. I hate the clutter!! I get that it’s easier during peak and some partners have troubles bending down to get the milks out, but come onnnn your entire counter is just packed with milks and makes it easier for spills to happen (which they do often)
StillEmotional2 points9m ago
biggest pet peeve when they just leave them sitting them on the counter.
elinor43533 points9m ago
i get irked when people stand in the way, like yes i know it’s a lot of tight spaces and fast moving but you can move ur feet two steps or ur body like fucking move😭
Enough_Raise_71678 points9m ago
Especially when you're holding something heavy. I'll be holding the ice bucket or food trays and two partners will be talking about something and just standing in the middle of the walkway. Oftentimes it's the SM and a shift. Like, hi can you have this conversation anywhere else?
Snarfungus26 points9m ago
my big peeves are when i rotate on to bar, and the bar itself and the counter are super gross and haven’t been wiped down in hours, and when baristas leave blenders on the water sprayer for minutes at a time and don’t take them off
likechasingclouds22 points9m ago
Not restocking everything (cups, ice, inclusions etc) when you have time. I really don't get it. Practically everyone at my store only restocks something when we are totally out of it. Maybe it's just me being overly anxious but I like to make things easier on my future self 🤷♀️
kaitoblade1 points9m ago
This is my pet peeve… there’s so much time yet I end up restocking when I’m opening and also “focus on customers “ isn’t an excuse ..it’s possible to multitask ahh
sweetpeachtae20 points9m ago
- put your milks away PLEASEEEE - stop throwing away the LIDS to the milks that’s how we get gross fridges - clean as you go!!!!! if you’re a messy barista whatever but clean your stations as you leave them
jadehernan17 points9m ago
writing the time where the date of expiration goes on the stickers and then not writing the date at all
SWEGDovahkiin4 points9m ago
Or just writing the date on whips without the time or name of the product (this part i understand a little bit, because we don't always have the time to write "whip" 12 times). It's super important for whips to have a time on them, but ideally everything should have a time written on it.
im_a_pimp1 points9m ago
if it’s a 24 hr item why would you put a date it’s obviously going to be for the next day?
jadehernan1 points9m ago
even with 24 hr items your supposed to date dot, i’m more the less talking about items that aren’t 24 hr
Jadenvicious114 points9m ago
I think mine is honestly when people assume I need help without asking and then end up doing my job for me or finishing my job for me. Shit pisses me off, I'm not incompetent I can do the job I was hired for 6 years ago. If I need help I'll ask. Don't touch my cups.
Jaded_Fun_713312 points9m ago
I HATE HATE HATE when people don’t rinse shakers right after they use them and the lid??? HOW and same with frap pitchers. OH WHEN PEOPLE LEAVE A TINY AMOUNT OF LIQUID LEFT IN A PITCHER like who is going to be able to use that, stop being lazy
gossipgorgon12 points9m ago
ALSO leavinf the blenders on the washy thingies and then it ends up clogging the sink
mayor-em1 points9m ago
Ooh the great cloggy volcano trick, who gets to go elbow deep to push petrified strawberries down the tiny sink hole.
chrichri3333312 points9m ago
Partners who don't rinse the steam wand
catpants24311 points9m ago
When I'm on bar with another barista and they get ice literally all over the counter that melts into an ocean. I don't want my stomach soaked every time I have to reach over to pass someone a drink. And then if I try to ask them to possibly fill the cup with ice over the trash (because our trash is in between the two ice bins) they get annoyed with me. 😭
heronfew7 points9m ago
grabbing stickers and not telling me when im on bar 🥹 please just tell me, i already have the sequencing set up in my head and it fucks the entire thing up when one drink goes missing!
ohnoifuckedupfr7 points9m ago
mine when i worked there & now as a customer is seeing milks sit out. ik some ppl left them out for a couple drinks but i went to one store that had them all lined up i was like…. 😵💫 don’t like that
awkwardleoo6 points9m ago
I hate when I’m on dto/dtr and while I’m taking orders, other partners want to start talking on the headset having a WHOLE CONVERSATION. Like why tf are you talking while I’m trying to take this customer’s order. Bothers me so much because I literally can’t hear the customer talking.
strombolipuppetry6 points9m ago
idk if this is common, but at my store we get a lot of really messy borrowed partners who turn bar into a tornado. i know damn well they're not that messy at their home stores, NOBODY would put up with it. it's actually insane. messy bar partners in general can peeve me off but i get it during rushes and stuff, but idk why the borrowed ones often just don't seem to care at all about our workplace and i suspect it's because it's not their home store.
but maybe, just maybe giving them the benefit of the doubt, they just aren't used to the setup of our store and truly struggle too much to cleanup. most stores in our district are pretty uniform but we're the only non-drive thru store so it's pretty foreign to borrowed partners. i'm terrified of the idea of DTO and have never done it lmao.
dramaticcringelord5 points9m ago
When I’m on drive and obviously don’t need help but then someone gets sent over to “help” me and now we’re both just kinda standing there
mileygirl085 points9m ago
"stay on task" "wait I need you to---"
I have enough processing space in my brain for 1 marble to roll thru. it's either stay on task or do another task. sry fam I can't keep up
mjooyeon4 points9m ago
When people don’t clean up after themselves SPECIFICALLY after making back ups! I can deal with messy bar on peak but you’ll see me rage if someone leaves dirty pitchers, heavy creams, and a vanilla bottle out after making whips. YOU’RE NOT DONE WITH THE TASK UNTIL YOU’VE CLEANED UP AFTER.
strawberry_sprite_4 points9m ago
people not caring about their drink quality. pouring pitch black shots that have been dead for minutes and serving it or not even filling the cups up all the way with ice smh. like it looks like someone took a couple sits out of it before being served
ne0mi4 points9m ago
my coworker was on front and needed steamed milk and instead of saying anything, came over and steamed it on the bar I was actively using
Solid_Wish4 points9m ago
Mine is when cafe bar doesn't sleeve and stopper the mobile orders and also when people choose not to learn something so they don't have to do it. Why learn how to take apart/put together the pumps if you can always just grab me to do it! Not like I'm doing anything over here on Drive Bar!
HarleyLeMay2 points9m ago
The stopper and sleeve thing infuriates me to no end. I hate walking over to check for a mobile when I’m DTO and not a single hot drink has a stopper.
zattydaddy3 points9m ago
I DESPISE when I’m on DTO/window and I take 1 second too long with the current transaction at the window and someone else comes and takes the order. Like they’ve been sitting at the speaker all of 5 SECONDS
scrtlyclyps3 points9m ago
this is the super detail orientated barista in me but. not cleaning the dried base/frap roast/whatever off the walls/shelves/lid caddy. I have spent way too long with a rag, cleaner, and a scraper trying to get dried syrup off of everything, and no one ever puts in an effort to clean it when it gets bad. It's sticky and gross and unsightly
paigemclachlan1 points9m ago
Valid!!! Super nasty imo and it only takes a few minutes, some hot water, and elbow grease when it’s dead
Enough_Raise_71673 points9m ago
When a crusty puts their cash on the counter but gets mad when I put their change on the counter instead of in their hand.
mcdonaldspriteremix3 points9m ago
when im taking an order on drive thru, have a good flow going, then a partner will burst in trying to make a joke but it interrupts my train of thought/can't hear what the customer is saying. i sigh and ask the the customer to repeat what they said and they sound annoyed while partners are giggling in the background😐
lostinspace_02 points9m ago
Leaving pitchers, shakers, or blenders sitting on top of the rinsers. Then when I go to rinse something, I have to stop and move your dish out of the way. Or I don’t see it and accidentally dump stuff all over it >:(
-_-slimshady2 points9m ago
omfg, i cannot STAND someone talking on the headset to other baristas when someone’s at the microphone. i don’t even have to be on dto to get PISSED. like cmon, it’s not hard. we need to hear the order.
Traditional-Emu-14032 points9m ago
We have this awful human who refuses to move her ass away from the hot bar. She thinks she should be a lead and will constantly tell others to go get her things “grab me a caramel” “I need more beans” even when it’s dead because she lacks the social skills to run register.
So my pet peeve is hoarding the bar but I had to complain.
Sad-Western-89182 points9m ago
I hate it when I’m working at CB and someone who makes frapps get stuff all over and leaves it! Like I get you spill stuff, but clean it up so that the whole counter isn’t covered in frapp!
butterflymomo2 points9m ago
people at my store leave the sani rags anywhere BUT the sanitizer bucket/containers. it's so nasty to me but they just wipe the counter, rinse it in the sink and put it back on the counter?? also our cold bar setup is terrible and there's no real spot to put the fraps and shakers after rinsing so we put them upside down on a plastic thing with holes on the ice bin so the water gets ALL OVER THE COUNTER and puddles up everywhere it's so nasty
CoffeeWMyCat2 points9m ago
i’m no longer w the siren but when i was on drive bar and have a line wrapped around the building but front has nothing and they choose to restock instead of help me. or when they did help me they would pick and choose which stickers to pull (usually trying to avoid cold bar). like literally walk up to my printer, look at the sticker, and either pull it and stick it on a cup for me to make or just walk away. and then when they had like 5 stickers begging for help.
nonogender2 points9m ago
leaving things on the volcano (that's its actual name btw) and causing the sink to fill up with water. literally the worst thing ever and no one ever cared about it.
strawberry_sprite_2 points9m ago
i love that it’s called a volcano
rainyxday2 points9m ago
When they get coffee from one that’s actively brewing. Specially when there’s still coffee from the last batch and I’m just brewing a fresh one. LET IT BREW.
gemlikbase1 points9m ago
A have a shift who will walk over to bar when I’m slammed with drinks and pull tickets so that she can get to the coffee tickets, aka the ones she just made. There’s a “don’t make” button on the register… also when people pull tickets and then just walk away. So my rule is, if you pull the ticket, you make the drink. Full stop.
Mediocre_Study84601 points9m ago
I hate when people leave milks out and ice bins open 🫠🫠
taaylor961 points9m ago
Change the saniii - it’s gross milky and cold why are you okay touching thatt
LavalampClock1 points9m ago
you'd hate my store. our sm makes us date unopened alt milks 💀
fraglqween1 points9m ago
Pulling cold brew and the bag rips… OR when people don’t strain them all the way and I take out the trash to find so much left over cold brew in the bags. Plus it’s heavy af to throw into the dumpsters.
And another is when I’m on DTO and drive bar doesn’t put their lids on their cold drinks and expects me to lid every drink they finish. Even worse when others start to follow by that example and never lid their stuff to make their jobs easier. The amount of spills that could be avoided if you just take an extra couple of seconds to do so.
gabrielfnts6251 points9m ago
My biggest pet peeve is when they don’t measure the 14 L exactly for cold brew!!
Comfortable-Plane9441 points9m ago
When dto tries to pull my mobile tickets or don’t bother asking me for a mobile coming through drive . Just tell me what you need don’t touch my tickets
spookbish691 points9m ago
I can’t stand when my fellow partners combine milk jugs. Like they don’t even check the expiration dates and yes I know the milk will be gone within a few hours but something in me is screaming when they do that. Or my ssv standing and watching me or just holding up the cup and walking away or continuing to stand and stare. Idk maybe do something other than stand there and literally twiddle your thumbs
Jerryispollitoman1 points9m ago
When they close down Frappuccinos and ovens wayyy too early. When whip creams and back ups are not done last shift and now I don’t have anything to work with.
xthefabledfox1 points9m ago
I hate when people leave literal trash around. I’m an opener and for some reason the closing shifts always leave the paper from the deposit and tip bags on the desk. Like… without fail…. It’s such a small thing but it drives me crazy lol. How can you just leave trash??? Just throw it away bruh
