a hack i've found is cutting the bottom of the lemon loaf bag and just slipping it into the pastry one

me but with the cinnamon coffee cake 😭 as soon as i put it in the bag it all crumbled 🥲

I’m the first one to say I just leave that hoe in the bag? 💀 have yet to have a customer complain

It’s not just me who struggles with this, what a relief. That’s me ruthlessly judging myself as I break *another* lemon loaf

Not gonna lie sometimes if it breaks I still attempt to hand it off to be less wasteful and I find it’s usually not an issue because there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just broken (like me 🙃)

I pull it open at the bottom, then make sure I pull it apart all the way up the middle line thing on the plastic covering one face of the lemon loaf. This ensures that it won't get stuck to the plastic as you're trying to gently shake it into the pastry bag

okay so you know how it’s sealed with a line down the middle right? i open up the bottom side (not the frosting side) and then open up that seal down the middle and every time it hasn’t broken

I just leave em in the plastic and say they’d melt otherwise

At that point I just rip the date sticker off and throw it in the bag, plastic and all

I've always suspected it's an issue on the manufacturing end. I don't think it's your fault.

At this point I completely destroy one side of the bag, hold the covered back of the loaf and put it into the pastry bag, flip it and pull the plastic out. It's chaotic but it works

not just the lemon loaf but the pumpkin as well at least for me, I have a hard time with plus it always sticks to the tongs

I rip down the spine and place it on parchment paper, then put it in the bag (use tongs )

all loaf bags are pulled open like a chip bag and i just wiggle it until it falls into the pastry bag or else i’ll lose my mind

ik its not standard but we put loaves in the pastry bags still in the wrapper! unless warmed ofc

Idc if they break. Happens all the time. I still sell it. They gonna break it when they eat it anyways so why bother wasting food.

I would completely open the plastic; top, bottom, and seam down the middle. Then fold the two halves of plastic under, so that there was only one side of Lemmon loaf with plastic. Horizontally slide it into the bag, then flip the bag to its other flat side, so that the Lemmon loaf is directly against the bag, leaving room at it what now the top to take out the plastic, then turn it upright (opening of bag toward the ceiling). It takes a couple tries to figure it out, but once you get it… you GOT it. OR until you figure out your way, open it onto a “wax paper” that is used to put food into the warmer, wrap the paper around the Lemmon loaf, then slide it in the bag. It also makes it easier for the customer to take out and eat with less mess.

One time i did it just as i always have and never had any issues and broke seven in a row i almost cried nobody found out though but man what a waste i felt so awful

open the flaps of the package so the plastic is flat. then you can easily pick it up with tongs and put it in the pastry bag. 👍🏼

I usually don’t know my strength so I fuckin yeet that bag in half and then use it to shove it in the pastry bags
