just put it in the oven, put everyone out of misery
Socko-The-Sock38 points9m ago
i did this as a green bean and i learned my lesson 😬
thebestdaysofmyflerm7 points9m ago
What happened?
Socko-The-Sock27 points9m ago
oh nothing bad lol after i destroyed 3 lemon loaves in a row the person training me told me we don't warm them up
goddessofwaterpolo5 points9m ago
One caught on fire for me once
Socko-The-Sock45 points9m ago
a hack i've found is cutting the bottom of the lemon loaf bag and just slipping it into the pastry one
kaleiydo11 points9m ago
i used to do this until every other loaf broke while trying to get it in lol
Buttafly_3602 points9m ago
Sometimes doing that the frosting come off😭💀
diorbbyyy30 points9m ago
me but with the cinnamon coffee cake 😭 as soon as i put it in the bag it all crumbled 🥲
Vallion0421 points9m ago
The cinnamon coffee cakes and warmed pumpkins loaves are my worst enemy. Always breaking
Chromosomes2314 points9m ago
Roasted red pepper egg bites they be slippery for no reason
olivinemultichrome10 points9m ago
The amount of these that have ended up on the floor is too damn high
Vallion043 points9m ago
I’ve never actually had any of the egg bites slip, but I have accidentally dropped them
KaoriLikesWatari25 points9m ago
I’m the first one to say I just leave that hoe in the bag? 💀 have yet to have a customer complain
chrichri333337 points9m ago
I usually let the customer know I'm leaving it in the bag because it'll most likely crumble if I don't. So far every customer has appreciated it.
Necessary_Low9394 points9m ago
I do that too
coffee-and-chillll25 points9m ago
It’s not just me who struggles with this, what a relief. That’s me ruthlessly judging myself as I break *another* lemon loaf
Not gonna lie sometimes if it breaks I still attempt to hand it off to be less wasteful and I find it’s usually not an issue because there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just broken (like me 🙃)
holldizzle02418 points9m ago
no, you eat it. lemon loafs are all i consume at work, bc i’m clumsy and refuse to waste food
fionacoyne5 points9m ago
My manager would yell at me. We don't even get to take home expiring foods it just gets thrown out.
No_Flower_73052 points9m ago
Woah, what about the donation bags?
fionacoyne2 points9m ago
It's probably because I'm a licensed store that we don't have those (or at least if we do I'm not aware of them.)
coffee-and-chillll1 points9m ago
I totally would if stress didn’t steal my appetite :/
dontcry202221 points9m ago
I pull it open at the bottom, then make sure I pull it apart all the way up the middle line thing on the plastic covering one face of the lemon loaf. This ensures that it won't get stuck to the plastic as you're trying to gently shake it into the pastry bag
jordanshaw898 points9m ago
This is the waaaaay!!! I’ve blown so many minds with that trick!!
dontcry20222 points9m ago
The lemon loaves love to stick to the plastic!! I've messed up many by trying to force them to just slide out of the bottom end of the pack. Glad other people have realized the trick
taylortherod19 points9m ago
I used to just give it to them broken lmao
vertigo00o12 points9m ago
okay so you know how it’s sealed with a line down the middle right? i open up the bottom side (not the frosting side) and then open up that seal down the middle and every time it hasn’t broken
rusted173 points9m ago
This exactly. Save me so much trouble w every food not just the loaves
vertigo00o1 points9m ago
especially fuckin turkey bacons 😭😭😭
rusted172 points9m ago
Those and the bacon Gouda r terrible. I feel bad heating them knowing the guests getting half the cheese lol
vertigo00o2 points9m ago
and impossibles as of late as well 😭 AND DOUBLE SMOKEYS honestly all of them lmaooo
gabby246819 points9m ago
I just leave em in the plastic and say they’d melt otherwise
Intelligent-Ad12734 points9m ago
At that point I just rip the date sticker off and throw it in the bag, plastic and all
psionicillusionist4 points9m ago
I've always suspected it's an issue on the manufacturing end. I don't think it's your fault.
Sad-Western-89183 points9m ago
No cause that’s me with the fucking blueberry scones. Them bitches crumbly as hell
Jewicer3 points9m ago
now this is a problem i haven’t encountered yet
Sad-Western-89181 points9m ago
Idk but every time I try to package them they fall apart 🥲
rusted171 points9m ago
Yeah word. Op commenter must be strong af
Alefur2 points9m ago
At this point I completely destroy one side of the bag, hold the covered back of the loaf and put it into the pastry bag, flip it and pull the plastic out. It's chaotic but it works
rusted171 points9m ago
The only way for loaves
mariesnowelle2 points9m ago
not just the lemon loaf but the pumpkin as well at least for me, I have a hard time with plus it always sticks to the tongs
Hazel_is_Trans2 points9m ago
I rip down the spine and place it on parchment paper, then put it in the bag (use tongs )
glowml1 points9m ago
too much work
graylikesoap2 points9m ago
all loaf bags are pulled open like a chip bag and i just wiggle it until it falls into the pastry bag or else i’ll lose my mind
quickthinxallthots1 points9m ago
i just keep it in the bag and put it in the pastry bag
Delicious_Buffalo_131 points9m ago
I was told we can just leave it in the bag 🤔
Baristababie971 points9m ago
ik its not standard but we put loaves in the pastry bags still in the wrapper! unless warmed ofc
Potential-Read-48241 points9m ago
i open the whole bottom of the plastic and put it on a warming paper and then use the tongs to put it in the pastry bag bcuz i am not wasting 💀
vexcii_1 points9m ago
if we say not to worry ab bagging it are yall allowed to do that? had no clue it was so annoying to bag 😳
Gameb0i61 points9m ago
Idc if they break. Happens all the time. I still sell it. They gonna break it when they eat it anyways so why bother wasting food.
BaristaBabe131 points9m ago
I would completely open the plastic; top, bottom, and seam down the middle. Then fold the two halves of plastic under, so that there was only one side of Lemmon loaf with plastic. Horizontally slide it into the bag, then flip the bag to its other flat side, so that the Lemmon loaf is directly against the bag, leaving room at it what now the top to take out the plastic, then turn it upright (opening of bag toward the ceiling). It takes a couple tries to figure it out, but once you get it… you GOT it. OR until you figure out your way, open it onto a “wax paper” that is used to put food into the warmer, wrap the paper around the Lemmon loaf, then slide it in the bag. It also makes it easier for the customer to take out and eat with less mess.
CITCourtney1 points9m ago
One time i did it just as i always have and never had any issues and broke seven in a row i almost cried nobody found out though but man what a waste i felt so awful
dead-ramone1 points9m ago
open the flaps of the package so the plastic is flat. then you can easily pick it up with tongs and put it in the pastry bag. 👍🏼
rusted171 points9m ago
I usually don’t know my strength so I fuckin yeet that bag in half and then use it to shove it in the pastry bags
rusted171 points9m ago
Also open ur stuff upside down (seen facing up) and lightly grab w the tongs. I find that helps
SandtheB1 points9m ago
I literally just had to remake 2 simple cold brews 4 times, because I can't read and I dropped them more then once. fuck my life
Queerguy241 points9m ago
On the verge of tears too
Necessary_Low9391 points9m ago
I just put that shit in the pastry bag without opening it up. If they complain? They get a “It’s more fresh.” To shut them up
-_-slimshady1 points9m ago
they’re usually fine if i open it from the top and use the tongs to wiggle it out of the plastic!
mmms4441 points9m ago
I open it, and then put on plastic gloves. It's easier to handle ( though nor by much
rterrebo1 points9m ago
Dang things are so fragile just like the Karen's we deal with on the daily in -store and drive-up.
shaklorde1 points9m ago
We just kept them in the fridge they hold together better
