insurance going from licensed store to franchised store? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by swiftlycrossings
im a barista at a licensed starbucks location. therefore, the insurance is not through starbucks specifically - If I were to apply to a franchise store and go there, would I have to wait the two months for insurance or would there be a way for me to get insurance right away since I’ve already been at starbucks??

You are not technically at Starbucks, you’re at whichever parent company your kiosk is in. You will have to wait until you are benefits eligible if you move to a corporate store.

So technically, according to Starbucks, you have not worked for them at all. So you'd probably have to wait 60 days (I believe) to become benefit eligible. (Also, license and franchise are very similar words in this context. So you'd actually be going to a corporate store, because the license store is a franchise.)
