when you run out of everything but no one updated the item availability and everyone is coming to pick up their mobile orders… (i.redd.it)

My social anxiety in moments like this soars. I HATE having to let someone know we don’t have what they mobile ordered

What’s even worse, is when I decide to be reckless and ring up a food item for a drive thru/cafe customer that for some reason I think I’m sure we have and don’t check for it first…and when I go to prep it we don’t :/ In that situation I feel like it’s 100% my fault and the customer probably thinks I’m dumb af as they witnessed me ring up something that we ended up not having. I just try to be as kind as possible and offer them something else to replace it or a refund 😬 Shoutout to those super kind and patient customers who are understanding when I do this

Oh, man. I've done that. Just staring at it on the floor like it's the deer from Tommy Boy. "No way that just happened."

Our system was glitching and we'd turn stuff off and it wouldn't process or whatever, check again when someone managed to mobile order it and it was right back on. We felt like we were going crazy
