I had a death in the family and my ASM + SM are trying to get me to cover my shifts even tho they approved my bereavement. Is that my responsibility?

No, once you are approved to stay home you do not have to cover the shifts yourself. Your SM should be lifting those shifts from your name and putting them into the shift marketplace, or finding the coverage (Who better than the people with the master schedule and a phone list right in front of them ?!?)

I would either not find coverage and leave them to look stupid when they are short a body, or bring it up with your DM

If they insist on you finding coverage just put the shifts up on the app. And just end in there. Not your responsibility
