How was your training to be a trainer?(self.starbucksbaristas)

I felt so unprepared for my trainee so I want to know how you all got trained to be a trainer. I had one module that was about Starbucks culture and the third place stuff, then I taught my manager how to steam milk and then became a trainer. When I was training I didn’t have any papers or anything and the training schedule was super messed up

I didn’t. I did a barista trainer module than was thrown in 🥲 I almost had a panic attack my first trainee 😂 but also you should have a packet that takes you through it and an outlined schedule from manager. I would definitely ask bc that’s an important outline. As you train people more n more it gets easier but definitely ask about the packet

Yeah:( that’s unfortunate. My manager said that my training schedule was probably the worst schedule she made so that probably added to my stress but it just makes me not want to train lol

Ngl I was panicked but with this company my ass learned the fine art of winging it. Especially with the training pods class😭 also I used it kinda as a way to connect to my trainee I was like hey new training plan I’m learning while you are too. It worked 🤷🏼♀️

For my first green bean, I was asked the night before if I would train. Didn't get the modules or train my manager, just got the training file with the old plan (this was about a year ago). I met her the next day, and she turned out really well. So did the others I've trained. When they updated the training I finally did the module. I just trained based on what I knew they would need to know and hoped for the best lol
