Guys, I finally met my match and the first Karen I met (self.starbucksbaristas)

A lady said she was waiting for about 20 mins, it was pretty slow at night, apologized to her of course and look to find her order since she said she didn’t do mobile. Checked the orders between the time of 6-7 pm for a doppio. Inform her that she didn’t ordered and she gotten an attitude about paying for it again which she bs since her order wasn’t there. She paid, went to the bathroom and come back having an attitude again because I put it in a tall instead of a short(no short lids). Said to remake it and it’s fine with no lid then she said I don’t know how to service. :’)

Wild the things people do. Good call on making her pay though. Some would just go "oh let me just make it." and give people like that a pass to do it again. My old manager used to say "the customer is always right until they're not." Hope the rest of your shift was better.

It went alright. I knew she was lying because It was just me behind bar while my manager was on break. No one asked for a doppio during the 30 mins

The quote is, "The customer is always right in matters of taste"

Meaning if the customer wants 24oz of pure syrup, then you can't tell them they are nasty. Because it is their taste and they are paying.

The customer is almost always wrong in every other matter.

Reminds me of the time two teenagers came in to replenish the funds on their cards, then tried to fight with me that I charged them for their drinks already when I told them they had to pay afterward. I told them that if I had charged them it would show up on their receipt. Still not believing me said that I did this Somehow!.

Lmao i never understood that with some people...like theyre really guna take something and run with it even tho there is literal proof that proves otherwise. Some are just so relentless til they get what they want from 1 store and im not a fan of helping out those kinds of customers out and encourage them to continue

We got yelled at today for not putting milk all the way to the top on the brown sugar shaken espresso drink with light ice. “They do that at other stores” not standard tho. She was a bitch lol

They actually updated the standards, so now we're supposed to fill them up even if they ask for light ice.


(Not that I like this change, or agree with people being assholes about coffee or anything...)
