I just started my first training with a new green bean and from my experience, I’m not sure if it’s the same with other Starbucks, but my manager told me to go off a packet
(Not sure the name of it at the moment) that the new green bean was given. Go step by step with whatever it says. The pay is like $70 I believe for each partner you trained. But congrats OP on moving up.:)

It’s not a raise really, but you do get a bonus on your check when you train a new barista. I’m not sure exactly how much it is. As far as becoming a barista trainer, you have to do a series of training modules that take a few hours and would be done on the clock, so you’d get paid your normal wage for that. I’d say if you’re open to the idea of working with new people, go for it.

Hi! So there is not raise for barista trainers, but you do get a one-time/per person you train, bonus of $65. There is a packet that you’re given that shows what you’re supposed to go over with them and how long you should go over it with them. You can also look it up on the ipads under store resources!

at my store barista trainer is treated as an intermediate position between barista and SSV, where barista trainers are pointed out as role models and encouraged to coach partners. it’s a step towards becoming an SSV if that’s something you might be interested in, but even if not, it’s good leadership and coaching/teaching experience.
personally, I really like being a trainer and getting to introduce a green bean to all the things we do, plus introduce them to coworkers and regulars - imo this is one of the most important things to do, since their training will be with mostly you + a little bit with the SM, but you won’t be working every shift with them after training! it’s also nice to get a change of pace from bar/pos/warming/cs and to review all the barista knowledge you’ve learned.
as a barista trainer, you’ll do some myLearning modules and work with your SM to prepare for the role. (that’s all paid training time.)
when you train a green bean, your manager should give you the training plan/schedule (the “packet” other comments refer to) that tells you what you’ll go over in what order on which days. the green bean will have myLearning modules and also practice time on the floor with you; you can just follow the activity guides on the store ipad > store resources > train a barista. you and the green bean will each get paid your normal rate for training time, and if/when they finish the training, you’ll get your $65 bonus.
