I requested almost 2 weeks off for January. It was approved a few weeks ago. I noticed my availability looked like my normal availability but I know I switched the times to unavailable. Is it normal for time off requests to have default availability?

Time off requests don’t change your availability. They are logged in different sections of the program basically

I went to requests and looked at my request, which was approved, but it’s showing my regular availability instead of having no availability during the time off.

Right, because your availability didn’t change, you have a time off request. As long as the request shows approved your availability doesn’t matter - they’re completely separate.

Dazed is correct. When your SM goes to do the schedule for the time you requested off, so long as your request was approved in the system, the fields next to your name will be blacked out and they won't be able to schedule you. Even by accident.

your availability is separate from your request off, so if you requested it off properly it will be fine! if you’re nervous about it the request off tab on the app will show that it’s approved as well

Availability is the hours that your manager is allowed to schedule you on a regular basis. Time off is an exception you’re asking for, but (I’m assuming) when you return to work after your time off, you want to ha similar schedule to the one you had prior to leaving right? Availability just has to do with your normal schedule, so it should stay the same even if your time off request was approved.
