i worked with someone who had covid and they told me i had to take an antigen test to return and wear a mask for 10 days. that wasn’t that long ago either maybe like a month

You don't have to, as far as I know all you have to pass is the symptom check.
That being said, from a medical standpoint/a standpoint of concern for vulnerable people you could spread it to, you definitely should take a rapid test before returning to work. If it is negative, you can be fairly certain you are no longer infectious.
Do not get a PCR test because they can show as positive for a long time after you are actually infectious. They're also sometimes hard to access since they require travel to testing sites! On the other hand, if you have a roommate, friend, or family member you can contact, they can just run to the store and bring you back a rapid test. I think Target has them pretty cheap, around $7. CVS also has them for $10
It would not hurt to wear a mask for a few days, either, just in case. If the rapid test is negative, your viral load will be very low or there won't be any virus at all in your system.
