WHAT IS STANDARD FOR THIS? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Unfair-Talk176
Alright I have had 3 different shifts tell me three different things.

One shift told me make drinks in the order they came.

Another shift said do 2 drive thru, 2 mobile, 2 cafe and repeat

A third told me that cafe orders take precedence, then drive, then mobile orders. And if a partner orders a drink then they need theirs first.

What is true!!!!

Depends on what bar you’re on. Is this solo bar ?

If solo bar alternate between drive thru and cafe/mobiles. Drinks are done in the order they print cafe don’t get to skip the line otherwise why would people mobile ? Partners don’t get priority either ( if this is about waiting for their ten SSV can just have them work while it’s being made ).

I think the first shift is correct: do them in the order they arrived.

Personally, if i get a 3 drink mobile, then a 3 drink cafe, then a 3 drink drive thru order, i make them literally like that.

I don't sequence 1 mobile to 1 cafe to 1 drive. Then i'm making the people who ordered first wait as long as the people who ordered last. And that doesn't make sense to me.

There isnt a standard, i usually work by order doing a whole DT order first, then cafe, and mobiles will take place of cafe when i dont have anyone in the cafe. If its constant in cafe and dt, i check in with people who enter looking for mobiles, get their name, amd swipe tjem into qeue using the DPM

No standard, I work in order as they came. I finish a complete order for one then move onto the next station and finish a complete order then the next then complete order and rotate back. I’ll prioritize drive and cafe over mobile if a mobile just came in I’ll probably complete one drive one cafe one drive one cafe then do that mobile
