Transferring to Promote. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey folks I'm looking for advice from people who have done this or maybe have done similar things to this.
So long story short, my manager keeps bread crumbing me on a promotion at my store, and after 3 months of waiting, I don't want to wait anymore. I want to transfer to a store that's closer to home, but will ultimately be out of my current district. The key thing here, is I want to transfer into the shift lead position from a barista. How do I go about doing this? I've submitted shift applications for a few stores, but should I follow up and call to schedule a meeting maybe?? Advice and procedure would help a lot here.

You can call and follow up. But you still have to go through the interview process for a promotion. They may not have a need for a ssv at the store you’re looking to move to which is why you may not have heard anything back

Ok yea that's what I figured when it comes to the interview process. I've done it before for this store too so I'll be better prepared. And yea they might not have opening but I guess I'll find out when I call.
